Loss of Data during synchronisation
Sometimes it has been reported, that it comes to a loss of SiDiary data on the desktop pc during synchronisation, when SiDiary data on the mobile device are located in the directory “My documents”
Particularly this problem can appear when MS ActiveSync and SiDiary SmartSync get in the way. SmartSync synchronizes only the SiDiary data on the mobile hardware with the desktop, while MS ActiveSync synchronizes all data in the folder “My Documents”.
In the past there were cases of loss of data in the directories below, which is the reason why SiDiary has an own Sync-mechanism. Therefore, a possible solution is moving the data directory on the mobile device (so that MS ActiveSync has no more access to it).
