Checksum-error: What happens if a file is damaged
To make sure that nothing can happen outside of SiDiary and change your data, the program generates a checksum when a file is saved.
If the file is modified or damaged (for example by the loss of power, a hard disk crash, the turn-off of the computer during the saving process etc.). and the checksum does not match anymore, SiDiary will report that (together with the days that have changed data) to aware you of false data. (see picture)
If you get such a checksum-error please check out if everything is okay with the displayed data/days and save your data again.
To activate the save button you just need to overwrite an already existing value with the same value (for example 121 ->121).
By saving this value again, a new checksum will be generated and the protocol won't be shown anymore.
